Overview:

Equilateral dispersing prisms have three equal length sides. They are used for wavelength separation applications such as refracting white light into a rainbow pattern effect.

Depending on the material used equilateral dispersion prisms can be used over a wide range of wavelengths. We offer UV Fused silica prisms for use in the ultra-violet wavelength, N-BK7 and other high index materials like SF11 are used for visible applications. Star Optic offers equilateral dispersing prims uncoated and AR coated. Antireflective coatings help to improve output of the light as they prevent light loss due to surface reflection.

The exit beam is in general at an angle to the input beam, this angle depending on the prism material, the wavelength and the incidence angle.

2, Design:

You have full design freedom, and we are able to work with complex designs to get you exactly what you need including optical design, mechanical design and optical coating design.

3, Production:

Have the ability to transfer designs into production from prototyping to serial production. Production process like grinding, polishing, centering, coating and measuring process are carried out by both manual and CNC machines.

4, Inspection:

The measurement process during and after production are carried out with precision metrology equipment, high sensitive interferometers and spectrometers. Measurement reports either e-version or paper-version will be provided upon shipment.

5, Packing:

Safe and dust-free packing are chosen to ensure you receive your products safe and sound and can use directly in your production lines.

6, Measuring Service:

You might have had experiences that you are using a product, but not clear about the exact specifications making you hesitate to source better options. Sending us a sample will allow us to help you figure out the details and transfer it to production.
